  • bottles (12 oz. bottles) cream soda

How to prepare?

  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and water.
  • Let it boil and stir it occasionally until the mixture reads 240 F on the candy thermometer.
  • Now, add in butter, salt, vinegar, and heavy cream. Now set it aside to cool at room temperature.
  • Stir, in the rum extract when the mixture has cooled.

Now, combine 2 tsp of brown sugar mixture and remaining half cup of heavy cream in a bowl. Beat it until it gets thick. You can use an electric mixer to beat the mixture.

Finally, for serving it, divide the brown sugar mixture between 4 glasses(tall glass). Add 1/4 cup of cream soda then stir it so that it combines. Now, fill the glasses to the top with additional cream soda then spoon the whipped topping over each glass.
